A historic Burgundy estate founded in 1750. The fruit from this wine comes from a 2 hectare plot next door to the famous “Le Montrachet” vineyard. The soils are clay and limestone and impart beautiful minerality to the whites of Chanson. The 2020 Chenevottes is a powerful but elegant wine exuding soaring aromas of vanilla, butterscotch, apple blossom, lemon oil, and exotic tropical fruit. Those flavore continue on the palate opening up new layers of round citrus, green apple, orange peel, and grapefruit pith. 11 months in oak are well integrated on the palate while still displaying nice richness. Pair with dungeness crab. Drink or hold.
